Healing With Colors
What’s life without color? It would be impossible to imagine a world with no color. Colors add life to almost everything on this planet. In fact nature itself is a collage of different kinds of colors and often serves as an inspiration to all those who need to include color in some form in their personal or professional lives on a day to day basis.
To add on to the various roles that colors have played in everyday life, we now come across the use of colors as an alternative healing method. Colors for long have stood for various aspects of everyday life. You choose red roses to gift to your beloved, you choose pink and blue for your new born baby’s nurseries, you choose different colors to suit various occupations such as white for a doctor’s coat and you tend to choose darker colors such as black or grey when you are mourning or depressed. This very aspect of the use of color is now being extended to healing the body or just to promote a sense of overall wellbeing. Doctors have been known to use certain pastel shades in waiting rooms to help nervous patients to relax. Color in this form of therapy is viewed as a form of energy which is used in healing just like various other forms of healing such as Reiki or Pranic Healing. Different people are believed to react to different colors in their own way. Also the reason why we all seem to have favorite colors and why some of us have similar colored clothes in our wardrobes or the way we choose to color our rooms or pick furnishings. The choice of color all boils down to how the color makes you feel, in a way reaching deep down inside you and that’s the principle behind using colors to heal the human form or to simply make one feel better color therapy has also be rumored to help as a hair loss treatment.
